Jack Found – 1 hour exclusive set
Bright and energetic a kaleidoscope; complex percussion supports strong melodies, trombone riffs interplay with multi-layered orchestration and a remarkable voice reminiscent of early Bowie shimmers over the top. It’s not Pop, It’s not Rock. Its Jack Found.
Jack has developed a unique style, “I’ve been working to develop a distinctive sound, something a little different, a sound that people will recognize as me, even if they don’t like it they will definitely know it’s me” A classical training, a period as a leading youth jazz musician, and the skills of a multi instrumentalist give a strong sonic depth and musical width to his songs. Influences there are so many; Beck, Of Montreal, Bjork, The Flaming Lips and Bowie.
The result sits somewhere in the hallowed ground of Davie Byrne (Talking Heads), Depeche Mode, Franz Ferdinand and Jarvis Cocker, remarkable company for a twenty year old.
We would like to introduce JW Paris to you, a London based three piece who have supported the likes of Pretty Vicious, The Amazons and Yonaka to name just a few. Their ballsy new sound builds on influences ranging from Smashing Pumpkins, The Dandy Warhols, Nirvana, FIDLAR, Blur and Suede, which in turn gives them a raw anglo-american, alt-rock swagger with the vocal delivery, phrasing and harmonies that wouldn’t sound out of place in the brit-pop hey day.
JW Paris have been in the studio working on their debut singles with Hugo Nicolson (Grammy award winner who has worked with Primal Scream, Radiohead and Bjork) and mastered by John Davis at Metropolis (U2/Noel Gallagher).
Currently tipped as a band to watch in 2019 for Fred Perry Subculture, JW Paris have accumulated nationwide radio play, over 20k views across social channels, synced to Sky Sports and their single ‘Darker Side of Paradise’ taken up as the British Swimming 2019 sponsorship song.
Juicebox are an alt-rock band from London armed with catchy tunes and a unique sound bound for arenas. Made up of Thomas Muckian (lead vocals/guitar), Tom Anton (bass/backing vocals), Alex Rands (drums) and Charlie Hinton (guitar/backing vocals), the London boys take influence from bands such as The Smiths, The Amazons and Catfish and the Bottlemen, and have only been going from strength to strength since early 2018. From securing a slot at this years Truck Festival as well as Camden Rocks festival 2 years in a row and multiple packed out shows around the country, to breaking into the North of England, Juicebox show no sign of slowing down.
A driving rhythm section intertwined with searing guitar riffs and thoughtful vocals set these 4 apart from the wall of noise that is modern rock, as does Muckians lyrical content that deals with relevant and thought provoking social issues. From sharing the bill with names such as Maxïmo Park, PiL and The Rifles, and with only 2 signature yet contrasting singles under their belts, the progress is admirable and has surely set Juicebox up for much bigger, and much louder things
A dreamy pop/rock outfit, inspired by the likes of Oasis, Beatles, Coldplay, and Tame Impala.
Ladies and Gentlemen, we are Lucky Sevens! We draw influence from bands ranging through Primus, Green Day and The Who to create a sound which has been compared to Nick Cave, The Cramps and Tom Waits.
Find us anywhere on the Londo scene but most commonly at ‘By The Freaks, For The Freaks’, a night organised by us where we are joined on stage by our favourite acts for a night of twisted, surreal music!
